Raising money for the Trust every time you shop!

Many Trust members will live within proximity of a Co-op store – including exiled members, as there are over 1,800 Co-op shops across the country (a list of stores within Exeter’s catchment is given below).

A new scheme called the Partner Card has been developed by the Co-op which can earn groups like ours money! Let me explain….. Twice yearly, Co-op shoppers using a dividend loyalty card receive vouchers, which can be redeemed for cash. An average payout could be in the region of £30 twice yearly for someone doing a reasonable amount of shopping in the Co-op (and / or getting petrol from the Exeter store). This figure can be doubled if the shopper pays using a Co-op dividend credit card. The Partner Card Scheme enables individuals to pool their dividend payout onto one Exeter City Supporters Trust Card. If just 100 individuals with a yearly payout of, say £50 pooled their dividend payout, the Trust would benefit from a cash injection of £5,000 per year!

How does it work?

The Trust has completed its application for a Partner Card. The name of the account is Exeter City Supporters Trust and the card number is 633174 021017 565163. If you are an existing Co-op shopper with a dividend loyalty card you need to call (0845) 090 1456 and ask that your personal dividend payout (giving your card number) be transferred to the Trust, giving the Trust’s partner card number of 633174 021017 565163.

New Co-op shoppers need to register a dividend card (blue card). These can be picked up from your local Co-op store, or if you prefer you can contact us (details below) and we will ensure you receive a card. You then need to indicate that you would like your personal dividend paid over to the Trust’s Partner Card account (633174 021017 565163). To do so please ring the Dividend Helpline on (0845) 090 1456. Lines are open Mon-Fri 9am-8pm and Sat 10am-4pm.

If you also pay for your shopping by a Co-operative Bank dividend credit card you can earn considerably more dividend for the Trust – at no extra cost! More information about the credit card is available below.

Co-op food stores within distance of Exeter include: Exeter (Prince of Wales Road – including petrol station), Topsham, Ottery St. Mary, Honiton, Chudleigh, Seaton, Axminster, Budleigh Salterton, Lyme Regis, Teignmouth (x2), Chard, Ilminster, Crewkerne, Appledore, Ilfracombe, Uffculme, Wellington, Wiveliscombe and Taunton. However, don’t forget that exiles all over the country may use the card at any local Co-op store nationwide to earn money for the Trust!

Participating stores must be Co-operative Group stores, not independent Co-op Societies such as Plymouth and South West Co-op. You can call (0800) 0686 727 to find out where your nearest Co-op store is.

Trust members exiled abroad can also participate in the scheme as you can use the card at Co-op stores whenever you are back in the UK to earn money for the Trust. Alternatively you may like to pass the card to family or friends back in the UK who can shop more frequently at a Co-op store. In fact, if any Trust member would like additional cards for family and friends who might also be willing to help the Trust raise money whilst doing their weekly shop or filling up the car with petrol, we would be delighted to send you one or more additional cards.

Co-op Dividend Credit Card

The Co-op also has its own credit card. The details of the card are as follows:

- 1.9% p.a. fixed for six months on purchases and balance transfers

- 15.9% p.a. 13.9% APR (variable) thereafter

Any purchases made using the credit card would earn:

- 1p on every £1 spent in a Co-op Group store

- 1p for every £2 spent everywhere else that the Visa symbol is displayed

- 1p for every £2 of balances you transfer from other store or credit cards.
