Time to build our Trust

A message from our Chairman, Martin Weiler

Trust Logo Square 5

There is a lot of talk about building at the moment. In the last match day programme I saluted Paul Tisdale who has built a side to qualify for the play offs (and reach the final!). And now we have the brilliant news that the building of two new sides of the ground is to go ahead. Many congratulations and thanks to David Lee and his redevelopment team.

This is only the fourth major infrastructure change at St James Park in nearly 125 years of football here.  Previously we have had 1908 (first Grandstand), 1925/6 (covered Cowshed/replacement Grandstand) and 2000/1 (covered Big Bank, new Main Stand). Now we will have a new Grandstand and for the first time ever the away end will be covered. A truly historic step.

This all follows the building of a state of the art 3G pitch at the training ground, building the new Heritage Lounge at St James Park and the proposals for a new sports and education hub in Exmouth under a lease to our Football in the Community charity.

All these major improvements have happened under supporter ownership and show our ambition. The Supporters Trust is determined to grow and develop too. We have set up a new Corporate Membership scheme, have backed the Junior Grecians with Junior Trust membership and are exploring links with the University Grecians Society.

But we want everyone with a little bit of Exeter City in their hearts to join the Trust too. And what better time than when so much is moving forwards.

Not only will you become an owner of the Football Club but will also have the chance to:

  • Gain or improve your Priority Status for tickets
  • Be our Director for the Day
  • Enter our League and FA Cup Final Ticket draw
  • Get 10% off purchases in the Club shop

You can join the Trust for as little as £2 per month but if you can please be generous and give more.

For more details go to our ‘How to Join Page‘ or the online ticket office to sign up.  You can also contact the Trust Membership Secretary via trust.membership@ecfc.co.uk
