Event: Graham Rees at SJP, 23 March 2017, 2pm

On Thursday 23 March 2017, former City player Graham Rees will be at the Park to talk about his time at the club in the 1950s and 1960s.  Graham played all but one game and scored six goals in City’s 1963/4 promotion winning team – our first ever promotion. In all Graham made 370 appearances for the Grecians between 1954 and 1966, scoring 92 goals.

The event will be held in the Grecian Centre and all are welcome to join.  Doors open at 1pm and Graham will be speaking from 2pm.

Alongside the talk from Graham, there will also be City memorabilia on display thanks to the Heritage Lottery Funded ‘History of St James Park’ project. The afternoon is being held in collaboration with the Exeter City Senior Reds.

This project, ran in collaboration with the University of Exeter, has seen 1000s of items from the clubs past return to St James Park, of which many can be seen at the event and on the Grecian Archive.
