Trust Corporate membership launch

Following months of planning and preparation, the Trust corporate membership for local businesses was launched on Monday February 20 2017. The Heritage Lounge, overlooking the floodlit pitch complete with Football in the Community ‘FitClub’ members jogging around it, was an impressive venue in which to entertain our prospective new members.

Our guests were firstly welcomed by Trust chair, Martin Weiler and went on to have the benefits of corporate membership explained to them by Trustee, Paul West. As a representative of R.G.B. Building Supplies, our first signed up corporate member, Paul was the obvious choice to do this.

We would like to thank Mark Jenkins, from the Club’s commercial team, for acting as Master of Ceremonies during the event and for interviewing City favourite and recently elected Trustee, Sean Devine on his memories of City’s FA Cup match at Old Trafford, his time in New Zealand and why he was keen to become a Trustee.

Later in the evening, our guests were treated to the multi-media presentation of City’s 1914 tour of South America, by Martin Weiler and Nick Hawker, before Welcome Packs were presented to the businesses that had taken the opportunity to sign up as our first five corporate members – R.G.B. Building Supplies, Metalwork Solutions, Exeter’s Signs Express, A.J. Carter and Direct Assembly Solutions.

We are immensely pleased that by the end of the evening, a further nine applications for membership had been made. Jay Milling from Speedy Freight commented: “I’m very happy to support you and OUR Club by becoming a corporate member. I absolutely believe my annual donation will not only help the Club to remain Trust owned, but will also help me and my business grow in our community. UTC!”

We believe the new corporate status is another way in which we can reach out to the local community as part of our ethos as a community Club.

Details of how to become an individual or corporate member can be found on the Trust website or by contacting trust@ecfcst.co.uk

All Corporate Members are added to our Corporate Members page.
