Volunteers Party 2016

The Exeter City first team players and staff were given the chance to thank volunteers for their help at a party after Saturday’s 0-0 draw Grimsby Town.

The event, which was organised by the club and the Supporters’ Trust, took place in the Paramount Personnel Lounge with more than 60 people in attendance.

volunteer-party-oct16-perrymanSupporters’ Trust chairman Laurence Overend paid tribute to the volunteering ethos at Exeter City and manager Paul Tisdale also praised their work in his post-match comments.

“That is what this club is about,” said Tis. “It goes from strength to strength. I likened it to an iceberg this week. What is above the waterline is the League table and the last three or four results, but there is a heck of a lot of work going on underneath the waterline and it is getting stronger and stronger. So, we will be there to thank them.”
